Blackboard Course Website Archive Policy

Each Blackboard course website is archived and taken out of Blackboard two years after the course is taught. For two years after that, our Systems team can restore the course for you. This means that you can expect to be able to restore any missing courses for up to four years after it was offered. This policy allows us to have enough disk space for upcoming semesters and keeps our system running as efficiently as possible.

How to get your course restored

With your FSU email account, please email and try to provide the course ID (e.g., ENC1101-0005.fa13) as well as your role in the archived course site. Or, if you have the confirmation email you received when you originally requested the course (email title: "Blackboard Course Website Request..."), that should have the course ID in it.

Please note that you must have had instructor access in the site in order to authorize the request, or we can grant 24-hour access to former graduate students as needed.
